Menthya palya kadabu/Mathi boiled dumplings/  North Karnataka dish

Menthya palya kadabu. This is an north Karnataka dish and can have it for breakfast or as a main course for lunch.                                                                                      Ingredients :

  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • 2 cup mathi/ fanugreek leaves
  • 2 dried red chilli
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 turmeric powder
  • 1/2 spoon mustard
  • 4 tsp oil
  • 12 big clove garlic chopped
  • salt


Method:

Step 1:
> Take a big bowl add wheat flour salt and mix it with water to chapathi consistence
> Next role it and cut into small pieces or make a small balls
> Boil the water, add 2 tsp oil, when it is bubbling add all dumplings  and boil it for 4 to 5 minutes and drain it and keep aside

Step 2:
>Take a thick pan, add oil,mustard, dry chilli, and urad dal.
> Next add all the chopped garlic and saute it till the raw smell disappears
> add all chopped Methi and fry it for 5 minutes in medium flame when it is done add the dumplings
> Mix it well, add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste saute it for 2 minutes and serve it hot..

Polymer clay green pendent Roll green clay with white clay, make long stick, cut into 3 piece and  join all the 3 sticks together. Roll all the 3 stick to single stick and slice it using sharp knife. You get the above design. Take small ball of white clay roll it, place al the sliced clay on it and again roll it using a roller till the surface is smooth and even. Cut the clay according to your desired shape and the be a d is ready to bake. Preheat the oven to 220 degree F and bake 30 minutes and the be a ds are ready to make any kind of jewellery. Jewellery box DIY Things required : A wooden jewellery box, acrylic or oil paint or enamel paint , paint pen (gold color), Gold beads, and glue to stick beads. If paint pen is not available, you can use fev i cr y l metallic paint or gold enamel paint First apply paint on the box let it dry for 30 minutes. Next take paint pen of any color, i took gold color and draw design on all the sides of box , i made mehandi design and at last stick the beads using glue.
