Dahi Puri is my all time favorite chat. I just can live with chats. In Bangalore VV puram kave galli (food street/chat street) its my all time favorite, even Malleshwaram 8th cross chat shop , Adigas goalgappa etc etc are my favorite all time, OMG! my mouth is watering...

     Dahi puri is perfect for both kids and adults who can't handle fiery spicy panipuri. Dahipuri tastes good only when curd is fresh and in perfect consistency ie. neither too thick or too thin, the sweet curd and a tangy chutney a balanced taste will be a perfect chat palate.If you have not tried this, try it for sure.


Dahi puri



 Ingredients : Makes 1 plate

    Puri - 7 puris
    Curd - 1/2 cup
    Sev - a handful
    Boiled potatoes - 1/2 cup
    Meta Chutney/sweet chutney - 2 tbsp
    Onion - 1 medium sized chopped
    Tomato - 1 small size chopped
     Carrot - 1/2 cup grated  
    Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp chopped finely
    Chat masala powder - 1 tsp
    Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp (optional)
    Turmeric powder - a pinch
    Red Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
    Salt - as required
    Sugar - 1/2 tsp
    10 tsp tamarind juice
    Jagree according to sweet taste


Method:



For making dahi/curd: Take half cup of fresh dahi/curd, add chatmasala, coriander leaves chopped, 1/2 tsp suger and mix it well and keep aside

For patato stuffing: take mashed potato, grated carrot, tomato onion chopped, sweet chutney, salt, cumin/jeera 1/4 tsp, chilli powder mix all the ingredients and stuffing is ready.

Before serving make sure all these 3 items are ready.



Take puri, make a hole, fill the potato stuffing, next add prepared curds and at last sav and serve it.



Preparation time 45 minutes.
